Mega – Part 1
Mega – Part 2

Yet another double-release, yay! This time was done inadvertently and I’ll explain why.

This is a platformer that’s considered a gem in the Amiga community, being called “Amiga’s own version Sonic the Hedgehog”, to the same fashion that Jazz Jackrabbit was dubbed with the same title in IBM-PC’s case. I remember having a great deal of frustration with the game when I was little, very hard to beat, even the first level! Strangely I remember this game having more sound options when I played it on my old (now defunct) 486DX machine, but it seems not to be the case. The game had the same sample-based music as on the Amiga (booooring!), but still the game’s soundtrack was worth doing it so here you go:

So as the above soundtrack is not that big or long, I decided to slap to this post the next game I had on my to-do list, which is the X68000 port of Castlevania (Akumajo Dracula). This is an odd one, and as I’ve explained in the previous Castlevania release, I kept this one separate due for the fact that it uses different music compared to the original game. That’s the reason why I’ll be calling it this way, to avoid confusion. Konami are quite well known for not “conforming” well with their ports, releasing them haphazardly. But I think this time it’s to our benefit, as this way members of the Konami Kukeiha Club got to use the full capabilities of the X68000. I really recommend you give both versions of the game’s soundtrack a listen! 🙂

List of Ports and Downloads

This might be of quite an interest to the Acorn Archimedes fans out there, as I’ve added the previously missing ports of Lemmings 2: The Tribes and Cannon Fodder of that machine, so enjoy it!
As last time, Stefan L. was generous enough to offer and record those two as well. =D
Seems so far he’s the only contributor for this project aside me. If you want to help, you’re more than welcome to, and you know where you can find all the details =)

I’m also working on quite a long game (+110 tracks per set, that’s a record breaker!), so be patient with me until I get it to completion ^^

Lemmings 2: The Tribes Archimedes
Cannon Fodder Archimedes

I’ve also updated two sets. The first set is Lemmings for the Archimedes, it had a missing track in it’s expansion game, and this one was also provided by Stefan, thanks again! The second one is the GeneralMIDI soundtrack of The Incredible Machine 2. A user on YouTube notified me of this set not sounding right, having the wrong pitch bend set to the tracks, so I fixed the problem.
Make sure you check those out in the case you downloaded them before =)

Another sequel here. While the songs might not be that many or as catchy from the game’s prequel, it’s still fun to listen to. And get a load of the MT-32 pack! I had no idea it was so full of awesomeness, it beats even the original version from the Amiga =D

List of Ports and Downloads

So since I’m back on track now I decided to take care of a package that was sent in by Stefan L. from CVGM, containing chiptunes from the Acorn Archimedes port of Lemmings. It was one of the ports I couldn’t record through emulation, so he was kind enough to dedicate some of his free time and send me his recordings from real hardware. How awesome is that!

This marks as our first release to have been recorded on real hardware. So if you enjoyed this, and are a member of CVGM or EAB, make sure to send him a PM with your gratitude ^w^
Also notice that there are some tracks that I and Stefan didn’t know the names of, so if you happen to know, please contact me!
