Not much has happened over here in the past two months, and I would like to apologise for that. Life unfortunately takes over at times, and as much as I’d love to work more on this project, sometimes I end up not have nearly any time at all. No this doesn’t mean that I’m resigning from posting new soundtracks, just that it’ll probably take a while between releases at times, depending on how crowded my schedule is.

So anyway, this time I decided to work on A-Train’s (A列車で行こう3) sequel. Even though the music of this game is not that impressive in the japanese versions, it’s still quite nice to listen to. Although I have to add that the MT-32 version of it sounds fabulous, even on a mediocre composition effort. Then again, when was it even a MT-32 game soundtrack I didn’t like? Haha.
Doubt it many would know these games, or their western counterparts, which did not sell that well when they were released, I still hope you’ll give them a try.
Speaking of the western releases, the AdLib set might have one track missing (“Economic Upturn”), as I could not have triggered it to play in-game in the limited time I had to play the game. And since I could not record it from other sources, such as with HooT, I had to leave it out for now, but I’ll update the set once I have the time to play the game for a bit longer, and trigger the sound piece).
Please also note that I haven’t played the japanese versions of the game that much (or I haven’t been very good at them), so I wasn’t sure how to name some of the tracks.
If you know how to name them or at which events they play, please do let me know! 🙂

As a side note, in the following period (1-2 months) I’ll likely not post any new stuff, instead I’ll focus on fixing some of the existing sets, as I have noticed a lot of mistakes I made in recording or tagging those sets. Also I’ll probably update some MT-32/CM-32L/LAPC-1 sets, as the newer versions of MUNT allow for a more

Also I added the SC-88 set for Transport Tycoon (Deluxe), so make sure to check it out!

So in the past month I’ve mostly been doing maintenance work on all the sets, updated the tagging to the new format I’ve been using and also fixed some sets that either had missing tracks or they had some acoustic problems. Here are the games in question that I updated, so make sure to re-download them in the case you got them in the past:

Lemmings – All sets (tagging), “Opening Theme” was renamed to “Opening – March of the Mods” since somebody let me know of the original composition’s name.
The Incredible Machine – All sets (tags), fixed weird looping on MT-32
Puyo Puyo – All sets (tagging), Arcade set was missing some tracks so I recorded everything again.
Grand Prix Circuit – All sets (tagging)
Cycles: International Grand Prix Challenge – All sets (tagging), Will have to find a way to access the Tandy music and add that set.
F-Zero (tagging)
Hyperzone (tagging)
Twinbee – All sets (tagging)
Cannon Fodder – All sets (tagging)
LSL1EGA, LSL1VGA, LSL2, LSL3, LSL5, LSL6 – All sets (tagging)
Sid And Al’s Incredible Toons – All sets (tagging)
Gradius – All sets (tagging)
The Incredible Machine 2 – All (tagging)
Lemmings 2 – All sets (tagging)
Raptor: Call of The Shadows – All sets (tagging)
Transport Tycoon Deluxe – All sets (tagging), GeneralMIDI – Recorded MIDI data from the DOS version of the game instead of Windows
SimCity 2000 – All sets (tagging)
Gradius II – All sets (tagging)
Willy Beamish – MT-32 – tagging fix on two tracks, fix “Glassy Class” fade out

Also since the MT-32 sets of LSL1VGA, LSL5 and LSL6 have some artefacts through them from the preceding songs in some tracks (because of the heavy reverb) I decided to record them again from the extracted music files from the game and tone down the reverb so there would be a “cleaner” sound to them. I hope to finish this by christmas, so look forward to it! =D
I’ll announce when I’m done in the next release, but you can try to download the links in the meantime, as I’ll add them gradually.

I also might consider updating the AdLib sets from OPL2 to OPL3 later on, but I’ll have to think about it.

Yay! Finally done with another game =D
This time it’s another release for a special person to me, to which I dedicate it to ^^
I’ve been scratching my head over this one, since seemingly this game is released under a lot of names, but finally managed to pin down the ones that are actually related story-wise, and came with 7 sets in total.
I was going to add the X68000 “port” of this game, but later I realised it’s actually just a mash-up with different levels from different versions of the game, so I might post this separately sometime in the future =)
The Tandy version of this is surprisingly very good (but then again which game didn’t sound great on it’s own custom music chip =D), so definitely give that one a try!
Also I should credit and thanks tikalat from over at Vogons forums for the both IBM-PC and Tandy sets for sending me his tool to ease my work ^^

As a side note I also added PlayStation and Saturn sets for Transport Tycoon.

For the decryption key, you’d have to contact me through reddit. Some schmuck decided to mark the uploads for copyright infringement.
If you’re not happy that your works are up here, contact me instead and I’ll remove the songs altogether and post a notice. Otherwise I’ll keep uploading them regardless of how many times you try to remove the uploads.
